No. You do not need to generate an API key or Summer Cart Sync API account for a Cart2Cart migration from/to Summer Cart.

Cart2Cart connection (current)

1. Cart2Cart treats Summer Cart as a bridge-based (non-API) cart. In the Migration Wizard, download the Connection Bridge package and upload it to your Summer Cart store root directory (via FTP/SFTP or file manager), following the on-screen path.

2. Verify the bridge URL in the wizard, then continue with entity selection. No Mystore-style Client ID/token and no Summer Cart API username/password are required for Cart2Cart.

Summer Cart SOAP Sync API (legacy / other integrations)

Summer Cart’s own documentation describes a SOAP synchronization API. For ERP or custom sync tools you may create accounts under Summer Cart Admin → API Accounts (near the bottom of the admin). That mechanism is separate from Cart2Cart and is not required for Cart2Cart migrations.
