How does Smart Update Work?

Smart Update 1

Your current store keeps operating during the data transfer, generating more orders, and sales, and acquiring more customers.

Smart Update 2

The Smart Update function compares data fields in both your current & new stores.

Smart Update 3

If any new data are found on your current store, it immediately migrates them to the new store.

    Where can I find the Smart Update option?

    Navigate to your “My Migrations” page and find the migration you want to update. You’ll be offered 3 options to choose from:
    • Recent Data Migration
    • Smart Update
    • Smart Update + Recent Data Migration
    Click the Smart Update button and follow the migration wizard instructions to get your data updated.

    Will Smart Update affect my current store performance?

    Absolutely not. The Smart Update option just identifies your current store data that have been modified during or after the Full Migration, copies them and then pastes into the corresponding data fields on the new store.

    Can I update the new orders that have appeared on my new store during the migration?

    Of course. The option supports Orders update - you only need to tick the appropriate checkbox (Orders) at the corresponding step of the Migration Wizard.

    Which data does the Smart Update option support?

    The following data fields can be updated with the help of the Smart Update option:

    Can I try Smart Update for free?

    Sure. The Smart Update function costs nothing during the 1st month after your Full migration has been finalized. During this period, you can try it unlimited times.

    Is the Smart Update function available for all shopping carts?

    At this time, the Smart Update option is available for the following shopping carts:
    • Opencart
    • Prestashop
    • Magento
    • Shopware
    • Shopware Cloud
    • Bigcommerce
    • Shopify
    • WooCommerce
    However. many new shopping carts are constantly being added to the list. So, contact us for more info.

    What is the difference between the Smart Update & Recent Data Migration services?

    Recent Data Migration service allows transferring only the changes made since your last migration (e.g., migrating recently-appeared products, customers, orders, and other relevant data). Smart Update function, alternatively, updates the store data that have been edited or modified on your Source store during or after the Full Migration (e.g., Product quantity, Order status, etc.).
