General Questions

After migrating into Magento 2 / Adobe Commerce with Cart2Cart, reindex so catalog data is visible and searchable on the storefront.

Magento 2.4.x / Adobe Commerce (current)

1. Connect over SSH and open the Magento root directory (where bin/magento exists).

2. Run php bin/magento indexer:reindex to rebuild all indexers (or pass specific indexer codes from php bin/magento indexer:info).

3. Check progress/status with php bin/magento indexer:status.

4. Flush caches: php bin/magento cache:flush.

5. Optional: php bin/magento catalog:images:resize if product images need regeneration for your theme.

Admin: System → Tools → Index Management shows indexer modes/status. Large catalogs should reindex via CLI. Docs: Manage the indexers.

Older short CLI-only note (legacy)

Earlier versions of this FAQ listed only indexer:reindex, optional catalog:images:resize, and cache:flush—those commands remain valid on current Magento 2.4.x.
