Security Token Changed: Troubleshooting Your Data Migration

During your data migration, you might encounter an issue where the Security Token of your Cart2Cart account doesn't match the Security Token of the Connection Bridge you've uploaded to your store. This typically happens when the Connection Bridge was downloaded from a different Cart2Cart account than the one you're currently using for the migration. This discrepancy prevents Cart2Cart from securely accessing your store's data for migration.

Don't worry, this is easily resolved! Follow these steps to correct the Security Token mismatch and continue your data migration smoothly:

  1. Click the ‘Continue Migration’ button on your “My Migrations” page within your Cart2Cart account.
  2. You'll be taken to the first step of the migration setup. Download the Connection Bridge again directly from this page. This ensures you're using the correct Bridge associated with your current migration.
  3. Unzip the downloaded Connection Bridge file and paste the contents into the root directory of your online store. Make sure to replace any existing Connection Bridge files.
  4. After re-uploading the Connection Bridge, proceed with your data transfer. The updated Security Token will now allow Cart2Cart to connect securely.
