After you upload the Connection Bridge, open https://your-store.com/bridge2cart/bridge.php. You should see BRIDGE_INSTALLED. If the browser shows raw PHP source, a blank page, or a PHP error instead, the server is not executing the bridge correctly—adjust PHP (and permissions) so .php files run under the store’s web root.

There are no Cart2Cart-only PHP settings. Match the requirements of your self-hosted cart (the same environment that runs Magento, WooCommerce, PrestaShop, OpenCart, etc.). Hosted API carts such as Shopify or BigCommerce do not use a Connection Bridge.

Quick checks

1. Confirm bridge2cart is in the store root and the URL path is correct before changing PHP.

2. Use a PHP version supported by your cart (and enabled for that site in the host panel).

3. Enable common extensions your cart needs (often including curl, openssl, mbstring, zip, gd)—follow the vendor list for your platform.

4. Ensure the web server can read bridge2cart and execute bridge.php (typical permissions: folder 755, file 644).

5. Review PHP / webserver error logs for the request to bridge.php.
