How to migrate recent data after cart migration was completed?

It's a common scenario: while you're migrating data to a new platform, your original shopping cart receives updates, including new products, customers, or orders. This is where recent data migration becomes essential.

Important: The Recent Data Migration service is available only after a Full Migration has been completed.

How to Perform a Recent Data Migration

Migrating recent data with Cart2Cart is straightforward:

  1. Log in to your Cart2Cart account.
  2. Navigate to the “My Migrations List” page.
  3. Click the “Recent Data Migration” button. This feature allows you to transfer the latest data added to your Source store since your last migration, even if you've performed multiple Recent Data Migrations after the initial full transfer.
Locate the Recent Data Migration button in your Cart2Cart account
  1. Click the “Start Migration” button.
Start the Recent Data Migration process
  1. Follow the standard migration procedure.

Note: If items have been deleted from your source store, Cart2Cart cannot migrate those deletions.

Understanding Remigration vs. Recent Data Migration

Remigration refers to repeating the transfer of approximately the same data volume as the original migration. While entities might be modified (e.g., product descriptions updated), the number of *new* entities should not exceed 500. If you have more than 500 new entities to migrate, you will need to initiate a new, full-price migration.
