General Questions

Install WooCommerce on WordPress before migrating with Cart2Cart. Modern WooCommerce (8+/9.x) commonly uses High-Performance Order Storage (HPOS) for orders; Cart2Cart works with current WooCommerce versions on a standard WordPress install.

WordPress Plugins screen (current)

1. Log in to WP-Admin.

2. Go to Plugins → Add New Plugin.

3. Search for WooCommerce by Automattic, click Install Now, then Activate.

4. Complete the WooCommerce setup wizard (store location, industry, product types). You can configure payments and shipping later under WooCommerce → Settings.

5. Set clean permalinks: Settings → Permalinks → Post name, then save.

6. Start your migration in the Cart2Cart wizard with WooCommerce as Source or Target.

Manual ZIP / FTP (legacy)

Download the plugin from wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce, upload the woocommerce folder to wp-content/plugins/, then activate under Plugins → Installed Plugins.
