Configure languages on Shopify before a multilingual-aware Cart2Cart migration whenever possible.

Add and publish languages (current)

1. In Shopify admin, go to Settings → Languages (store languages).

2. Click Add language, choose a language, and add it.

3. Install or open Translate & Adapt (Shopify often installs it when you add a language) to create or import translations.

4. Publish the language when translations are ready.

5. If you use Markets, assign languages per market under Settings → Markets (international domains/subfolders may be required).

6. Ensure your theme includes a language selector (or add one via theme / app).

Note: Shopify does not work like Magento multi-store-view in one step. Cart2Cart typically migrates content for the active/default language setup you configure; additional languages are managed in Shopify after migration.
