What Happens If Customer Names Are Missing During Shopify Data Migration?

Shopify requires a first and last name for all customer accounts. During a data migration to Shopify using Cart2Cart, if a customer record lacks either a first or last name, the tool automatically populates these fields to ensure a successful import.

Currently, if the first or last name is missing, Cart2Cart uses "FIRSTNAME" and "LASTNAME" as placeholders, respectively. However, to improve the customer experience and data accuracy, Cart2Cart can be configured to use a different, more descriptive placeholder. For example, we can set a default value like "Customer" in the First Name field.
